MapWindow GIS is an open source GIS software package developed at Utah State University and Idaho State University with collaborators from around the world.

Here you can purchase a CD which includes the MapWindow GIS application installer, the MapWinGIS ActiveX control installer, and sample GIS projects.

Two sample code projects are included that demonstrate how to use many features of the MapWinGIS ActiveX control and how to write plug-in extensions to the application. A copy of the online help files is also included on the CD.

MapWindow GIS can also be downloaded freely. However, there are many advantages to a CD-ROM including the ability to install without an internet connection and a free T-Shirt! Any proceeds are used to further the development of MapWindow.
