hi,
I'm trying to use the map window ActiveX like an API in a Visual Studio 2008 C++ MFC dll application.
My C++ program is a 3D surface modelling tool so it has its own scene/map window. However, I want to add some of the features of the Mapwindow ActiveX, particularly the file read and write abilities. eg read and write shape file.
If I have to add the mapwin control to a form while these operations are being carried out that will be OK. It will be like a preview window. Id prefer to just use it like a DLL API.
I downloaded the VS2003 C++ example and tried to get it to work out any success. I'm willing to pay for assistance to get this working in my app. Basically I just need advice in how to get it working and then I will code in what I need.
It looks like a very powerful tool and a credit to all involved.
Regards
G
