I am currently developing a plugin in VB.Net. I was originally developing with 4.6, which was working fine until a few days ago. It began to give me problems which I could not understand (Layers.Add started to add random layers and not the one I was passing). Anyway, I decided to install 4.7, which I thought would be easy. Well, I was wrong and now I am getting a vb.net error which says:

"The project currently contains references to more than one version of MapWinInterfaces, a direct reference to version 4.7.5.35867 and an indirect reference (through 'MapWinGeoProc.UnitConverter.ConvertLength') to version 4.7.5.39124. Change the direct reference to use version 4.7.5.39124 (or higher) of MapWinInterfaces."

Does anyone know where I can obtain a newer copy of MapWinInterfaces? I tried the source repository, but that version is 4.8, which creates many more problems.

If anyone has any other suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. I need to finish this plug-in ASAP, and am now dead in the water.

Thanks in advance,
Ken

Ken,

The most easiest way is to uninstall all MapWindow version.
Do a search for the MapWinInterfaces.dll and MapWinGeoProc.dll and MapWinGIS.ocx.
Delete those as well.

Install the latest stable release, open you project and set your reference path to the folder you've installed MW to.
Check all references if they point to the correct dlls and rebuild your solution.

Hope it helps,

Paul

Thanks for the suggestion Paul, but unfortunately, that did not help. I've attached a screenshot of the properties dialog. It contains the Version numbers for the MapWinGeoProc and the MapWinInterfaces. Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Ken

Very strange.

MapWinInterfaces hasn't changed in a while so you might try to get the 4.8.1 version and see if that is solving your problem.
You can get it from MapWinInterfaces.dll

I did try that, but then it told me the other dll's were not compatible (for the same reason as above).

I was, however, able to work around the problem. I was using the MapWinGeoProc to perform some math conversions, so I just altered the code to do the math in place of that line of code.

Thanks for your help.
