Hi Daniel,

I have created a sample application using MapWinGis 4.8.0.0. I have use two dll reference AxInterop.MapWinGIS.dll (runtime version v2.0.50727) and Interop.MapWinGIS(runtime version v2.0.50727). The sample application load the esri shape file at startup. This application works fine on the machine where it developed and works fine on the machine where mapWinGis 4.8 was installed. I have create a installer and installed on the new machine where mapWinGis was not installed, it doesnot work.
I had already tried the following possible solution:
1. as suggested by this discussion [www.mapwindow.org]
2. as suggested by this discussion [www.mapwindow.org]
3. Try to register MapWinGis.ocx file at application folder of installed sample application, but not registered.
4. set the register property of referenced dll and ocx file at setup project to vsdraCOM.
5. set custom action for installer to install MapWinGIS-only-v4.8SR-32bit-installer.exe and run regMapWinGIS.cmd after installation of MaWinGIS-Only at clinet machine.

But none of the above works.

What is the problem? I will appreciate your kind help.

note: I am using vs 2010, .net framework 3.5, window xp service pack 3 for application development

If you run the MapWinGIS-only-v4.8SR-32bit-installer you don't need to run regMapWinGIS.cmd. The installer will do it for you.
Are you running the installer as an Admin? That might solve a lot of issues.

You say it doesn't work. What doesn't work?

Thanks for your quick response.

I have create my sample application installer with custom action for installing MapWinGIS-only-v4.8SR-32bit.
Both my sample application(which includes MapWinGIS-only-v4.8SR-32bit installer) installer runs as Administrative privilage.

After installing my sample application, the application doesnot work.

But the application is works well on the machine where MapWindowx86Full-v48Final-installer is installed.
