Is there any solution to plot a selection of waypoint names on a jpeg image in such a way that a line is drawn from a waypoint to its name so that the position of the names and length of lines are automatically adjusted so that all the names can be diplayed without overwriting each other.

I have seen this done with a gps program called Gartrip that has been written in visual basic dot net
I am almost certain the type of annotation is called a "line callout"
