I'm a little lost in what I must do to add a grid to my map. According to an example I saw you have to create an image out of it and then load the image. The image it creates is 2.7GB whereas the grid data is only 400MB. I noticed that in the MW app there is a option to LoadAsGrid or LoadAsImage. I have it set to LoadAsGrid. So why does it create a huge image file?

Second when I do this through code there is an InRam variable that I have set to True when i oen the grid. Why does this then still create an image on disk? I dont get it. What is the most efficient way to load a huge raster dataset in code?
