Has anyone been able to connect the GPS tool plug-in in MW 4.6 to a Trimble GEO XT 2005 or other model?

I am wondering if I can use the accuracy of my Trimble to GPS points and lines directly into a shapefile in MW. I've tried connecting via Bluetooth and the USB cable.

Is the GPS Tools plug-in for MW 4.7 any different than 4.6?

It may a configuration on the Trimble I need to figure out, but i was wondering if anyone else has experience with this.

I would suggest to move to the latest stable version of MapWindow: v4.7.5
Or wait for the new release candidate for v4.8 that will be released next week.

The GPS plug-ins haven't been updated in a while.

In a few week I'll start working on a new GPS plug-in using GPS.NET
Ultimately that new plug-in will replace the other GPS plug-ins.

I could need some funding to dedicate more time to it and thus have it finished earlier. If you can provide some, please let me know.
