Hello,

I am a new MapWindow user. Just installed v4.8 on my laptop and desktop. My laptop is running Windows 7 (32 bit), my desktop has Windows XP. The problem I am having occurs only on my laptop. When I try to insert a map in Print Layout, I recieve an error message ("an error has occurred in MapWindow or in a plug-in") and the map won't load. I can insert other map elements such as the north arrow and scale bar, but not the map. I have attached the debug information for this error.

Thanks to anyone who has a solution.

Hi DW,

This bug has been address a number of times here on the forum. Its been fixed but that fix will only be introduced in the next beta release, which should be out in December.
