I've been happily using MapWindow 4.8.3 to generate maps using U.S. census info. However, when I assembled an especially large DBF file (maybe 200 columns by 1,400 rows), I find MW no longer works - it crashes immediately on attempting to open this file. Still works fine on smaller files. Is there

Still works fine on smaller files. Is there a file size limit? My DBF file is currently about 5.1 MB. Let me know, thanks. -Ed

Ed,
This sounds as a bug. Can you submit an issue report at bugs.mapwindow.org and attach the shapefile with the large dbf-file?

For what it's worth, I'm successfully opening MapWindow 4.8.3 with a DBF file that's 21 columns by 2576 rows. Filesize is 714,482 bytes. The shapefile, though, is much larger: 4,061,688 bytes.
