I am trying to use kriging and get a box stating "there is a problem adding the surface" and then another that says "OK". I also want to us a field other than "MWShapeID" to be some other attribute. Are there instructions somewhere?

Carl,

This has been fixed in the SVN version.
Please grab the latest version of the kriging plug-in:
[svn.mapwindow.org]
replace this one with the one you have (<program files>/MapWindow/Plugins)

Let us know if this is solving your issue.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

Thanks very much. That did produce a surface. I had updated to 4.8.7 before posting my proble and searched the forum; but didn't know about the updated plugin.

Now I am trying to use a different value in it attribute table other than the default "MWshapeID". Double checked to make sure the excel file I created the attribute table from had the column formatted correctly ("number"-not "general") But I still cnnot change to another attribute.
