Is a testcase already been made? Don't see it yet. I'm willing to build that if I could get the syntax of using this function in code? It's probably in mwCSVtoShapefile.dll but my VS.NET is corrupt so I can't check for myself.
In a few days I'll do a clean install of my pc and it should all work again.

Hi Paul,

I actually intended it to add the coordinates to the DBF too. The task that motivated me to write this was that I wanted to visualize the data, but I also needed a program that can only read DBF's to have access to the coordinates... so I put them in the attribute table also. I can see however that most tasks probably wouldn't need this. I'll add a checkbox to the form asking if the user wants to include the coords in the DBF too, and default it to unchecked.

For the test case, this is a GUI tool that I don't think would be very easy (or possible) to test from a script... the functionality depends on the user browsing for files, selecting fields, etc. If you want to try, though, go ahead - much appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback on the coordinates!

Chris,

Thanks for adding the checkbox.

Is the documentation already available for this function? Which arguments are needed, etc.

I'm currently writing the documentation of my grid2shape function. After that I'll try to create a testcase for you.
