Online Wiki Documentation - Version 4  (Visit)

Our new system for providing documentation is entirely online, through a Wiki system. This is an environment which is publicly editable. As you're working, if you notice an error or want to post sample code or make any other change, you'll be able to do so quickly and easily.

This documentation system will allow the varied contributors to the MapWindow projects to update and maintain this documentation much more easily. This is considered the latest version of the documentation.

Note that some of the following documentation is out of date with respect to licensing. MapWindow is currently released as open source software under the Mozilla Public License version 1.1. This documentation also may omit newer functionality.

The MapWindow Forum is a place for users and developers of MapWindow to post sample code, tips and tricks, and other useful information. If you have a question on any aspect of MapWindow use and development, please search the forum. If you can't find an answer then please post your question.

Jump Start your Application Development

Several programmers and institutions are currently contributing to the MapWindow Open Source project. If you would like to be put in contact with one or more of these individuals to contract some custom programming work, please send your information using the contact page, or post your need on the developer forum.
