Export Selected Shapes to New Shapefile

This tool allows the user to select a feature or set of features from one shapefile and export to a new shapefile.

Select the feature to be exported to new shapefile, using the Select Tool

Click on [GIS Tools]

Click on [VECTOR]

Click on [EXPORT SELECTED SHAPEFILE TO NEW SHAPEFILE]

Enter name of new shapefile and click on [SAVE].

Select [Yes] to load the new shapefile.
