Export Shapes to New Shapefile by Mask
This tool allows the user to use one shapefile or its features to select features from a second shapefile and then export them to a new shapefile.
Click on [GIS TOOLS]
Click on [VECTOR]
Click on [EXPORT SHAPES TO NEW SHAPEFILE BY MASK]
Select the shapefile that features are to be exported from.
Select shapefile to be used as mask
Select feature or features within mask file to be used for selection of the exported shapefile
Select to add new layer to map or not
Click [OK] to finish
